Delta provides various facilities, including the baggage allowance, in which you will receive permission to carry some of the baggage as per the given dimensions. However, Delta carry-on restrictions also suggest passengers not bring specific items in their carry-on bags. These items can be dangerous and make you sit at the TSA precheck for an hour. So please review the written items below and ensure your journey is smooth.

Can I take food on a Delta flight?

Non-edible and edible perishable items are permitted on the board as carry-on baggage, but the items must not violate the agricultural restrictions for the destination country. The perishable items include fresh or frozen food, including fruits and vegetables.

  • Poultry items, chicken, eggs, meats, or any dairy items.
  • Flowers of varying sorts, including cut flowers, floral displays, and vegetable plants.
  • As per the rule, if the items do not fit within the Delta dimension policy or weight restrictions, then the carry items will be accepted by the airline authority as checked baggage, and that could be permissible if the limited liability release form has been filled with a gate agent.
  • Per the policy, Delta is not responsible for food that spoils or goes terribly while traveling with that airline.

Can I bring my medicine in my carry-on Delta?

As per the Delta carry-on guidelines, you can bring medication from any company, but it should be in pill or solid form and in unlimited amounts as long as it is screened. The airline has allowed the medication to be taken in carry-on and checked baggage. It has been highly issued that these items must be taken into the carry-on for immediate access at the time of checking as well as during medical emergencies.
